First came 6 then 15, now comes 20 second videos with licensed music and sound effects

New player in the short-video network game is Snapverse, which pairs 20 second videos with current, popular songs. Their core differentiators from other apps, like Vine and Instagram Video, are the music library and sound effects. Songs like Macklemore’s “Wings” and Van Morrison’s “Brown Eyed Girl” are part of the 25+ music library, not including the 25 sound effects currently available.

Sending and transferring files can be a pain, even with productivity and storage tools, like Dropbox and Evernote. A relatively new open source project, called dbinbox, lets non-Dropbox users upload files from a web browser into a special ‘inbox’ folder in your Dropbox. Created by new college grad Christian Genco (@cgenco), who majored in Computer Science with a Premedical Specialization.
