Instead of my typical “how to” posts about my fave online tools, I thought I’d show you one in action. Plus, I need your help.
Just about every friend, family member and client has asked me for social media marketing book recommendations. I try to read as many as I can, but, heck, I’m only one person. Woe, is me. Not really, I love getting asked for help. What’s even better than a personal recommendation? Having it backed up by YOU. I thought, why not rely on the wisdom of my Faves readers? I started a list of my fave social media marketing books for you to upvote. If you have the book, feel free to let us know that, too. This is a “living” list made with Listly. Because I created the list with options to “curate” and “crowd rank” it means anyone can add to it (if you don’t see your favorite book) and vote (I disabled the downvote option for this list). Just click “Add to List.” You can even embed this list on your blog or website. Pretty sweet.
ONE MORE THING… Next Tuesday, I’ll pick four of my awesome Faves readers and send a copy of the number one voted book to you.
By the way, these are not affiliate links and I am in no way compensated by any of the authors (although I have received complimentary copies of more than 90 percent of the books listed). However, if anyone wants to send me money “just because” it’s not like I’d say no.

This is a longer list, but some of the books are available for free online or for Kindles and other e-readers. Some of these must-reads are: -Engage!: The Complete Guide for Brands and Businesses to Build, Cultivate, and Measure Success in the New Web by Brian Solis, a comprehensive guide to branding and building businesses online -Scott Stratten’s UnMarketing: Stop Marketing, which covers why traditional marketing strategies are no longer effective -The Zen of Social Media Marketing: An Easier Way to Build Credibility, Generate Buzz, and Increase Revenue by Shama Kabani and Chris Brogan -Christopher Barger’s The Social Media Strategist: Build a Successful Program from the Inside Out will help you develop your social media skills and successfully apply them to your business -Lon Safko’s The Social Media Bible: Tactics, Tools, and Strategies for Business Success [...]
