Wittlebee takes the hassle out of shopping. By joining for $39.99 per month you receive a customized box of essential clothes for your littles.
As soon I as I stumbled on Wittlebee I knew I would wub it. When I realized it was the brainchild of Sean Percival and his better half I was sold.
For someone who spends a better part of her day online, shopping tends to get done this way as well. Who has time to keep up with all the latest kiddo trends? I barely have time to wash my hair (don’t worry, I do). I was curious to learn more about what the folks at Wittlebee do so I took the opportunity to interview Mr. Percival. Here’s what he had to say:
Why Wittlebee? How does it make mom (and dad’s) life easier?
We’re looking to save parents both time and money with Wittlebee. We hope to reduce a few visits the mall and in the process a few less mall meltdown moments. It can be tough to keep up with the basic apparel needs for kids so we hope to automate some of that for parents.
Where do the clothing selections come from?
Right now we source from a variety of brands. Both big box and boutique brands. We are also in the process of introducing our own line of basics. Think american apparel for kids.
Any good stories behind the name?
Ya it’s really hard to get a good domain these days. Truth is my wife came up with this one during one of naming brand storming sessions. Most little ones say “little” like “wittle” so we wanted to capture some of that with the name.
How is it partnering with your wife? (I had to ask.)
My wife is my partner in everything so I love including her. She’s a big inspiration for everything I do and always there to sound off ideas to or contribute. We have built a few businesses together but this one has been really special for us.
Future plans for Wittlebee?
First a private label and next expand our offering to older kids and apparel beyond the basics. Think shoes and seasonal outfits.
How can parents who join show off their LOs outfits on the interwebz?
We have a very active Facebook page where our members love to share and compare. We also like to show off our happy customers on our Pinterest page.
What’s the return policy? Can you join “as needed,” meaning for those who don’t want to pay $40 every month?
Satisfaction always guaranteed. So if a few items aren’t a match we send replacements. You can pause or cancel your membership at anytime. We’re flexible like that.
Anything else?
We grew fast so I needed to find ways to keep up with customer demand. To do that I hired some of my first customers and made them our customer service reps as well. So now if you call us you not only get to speak to another mom but another member as well. It creates a very authentic experience our members really enjoy.
Feel free to check the site out for yourself. Happy parenting!
