I was going to cut down my sugar intake as my New Year’s resolution, but that was cut short when I learned about Code Year (and signed up). Anything to avoid having to actually face my sugar addiction, right?

The peeps at Codecademy developed a completely free online academy where you learn programming in baby steps (weekly). That’s really it. Each week a new interactive programming lesson is sent via email. You can sign up here.

As of today 146,221 have signed up. Come on. Everyone is doing it. Do it (in my Ben Stiller from Starsky and Hutch voice).

By 2013 we’ll all be a little smarter together. And, let’s face it, I could use it.
