I’m a new mom and already I would do anything to keep my little one safe. I consider this post a public service announcement.

This past August the FBI launched the FBI Child ID app to provide caregivers a place to electronically store children’s important information, provide safety and preventative tips for parents and kids and give you a quick way to dial 911 or the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

It can’t hurt, right?

If you’re concerned about putting your personal information on your phone, consider keeping your phone locked with a password, or if it’s ever lost or stolen, install “Find my iPhone” and wipe all information from it.
